Spotkanie odbędzie się 6 września 2024 r. o godz. 15.00 na Wydziale Geografii i Studiów Regionalnych UW przy Krakowskim Przedmieściu 30 (sala 111). Ponadto w seminarium będzie można uczestniczyć zdalnie poprzez platformę Google.
Prelegenci wygłoszą trzy referaty, prezentujące ich działania naukowe:
• „Where there's smoke, there's fire: Reflections on mapping fire in Australia” – dr Amy Griffin (RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, Wiceprzewodnicząca MAK);
• „Representing the 3d dimension in spatial sciences – from visualizing terrain to designing XR experiences” – prof. Arzu Çöltekin (FHNW, Szwajcaria, Przewodnicząca Komisji Geowizualizacji MAK);
• „MapStudy: An open source research tool for improving the design of interactive and online maps” – prof. Robert Roth (University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, Przewodniczący Komisji UX MAK).
